RI CONCEALED CARRY INFORMATION AND TRAINING
Acquiring a Concealed Carry Permit in RI can be quite a daunting task if you are going at it alone. I provide professional help throughout the entire process should you need it.
As with any application process there are absolutely no guarantees however I have a 99% success rate with my clients obtaining their desired RI permit.
There are a few things that you should read up on prior to starting the RI Concealed Carry Permit process or booking a class. However, I can help you sort thru the legalese and streamline the process for you thru my experience and expertise should you choose to hire me.
REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO APPLYING:
* Permits Issued to Residents and Non-Residents
Residents can apply through their town or city if you reside in the town or have a business there. You can apply to any town as long as you have a license to carry from any jurisdiction within the United States ????
* 21 years of age required
* Must be a suitable person to be licensed
* $40 for New and Renewals
* At least 90 Day Processing Time (depending on the town)
*Valid For 4 Years
In most cases it is more beneficial for you to apply to your city or town, in that case, please go to your local Police Department and pick up an application, or check online, they should have their own.....check to see....do not "assume" that they use the AG's application. Generally you will need to apply to the AG’s office if your are applying for armed security or upgrading your position to armed from unarmed.
Keep in mind that when applying thru your local city or town, the showing of "need" has changed to "being a suitable person to be licensed" based on the recent Supreme Court Decision, New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., INC. v. BRUEN. In other words, you don't have to SHOW PROPER REASON anymore, but you have to have clean background, or expunged/sealed record.

Now......IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ACQUIRING A CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE FROM THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND OR THE TOWN YOU LIVE IN, AND AREN'T QUITE SURE WHAT TO DO, I OFFER not only the qualification procedure and training, if necessary, BUT ALSO the knowledge to guide you thru the entire process. It can be a complex web but I can help the navigation! In Rhode Island, there are no guarantees but it helps to have an expert on your side.
WITH THE FOLLOWING OPTION, I CAN TAILOR THE CLASS TOWARDS YOUR NEEDS AND WE CAN WORK TOWARDS YOUR GOAL OF ACHIEVING A CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT IN RI.
IF YOU ARE BRAND NEW TO SHOOTING AND HAVE NEVER SHOT BEFORE, these options are not for you….WILL NEED TO TAKE MY BASIC PISTOL AND REVOLVER CLASS BEFORE YOU CAN SCHEDULE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING 3 OPTIONS.
If you have never shot at 75 feet with a handgun or haven’t shot in years, please consider signing up for a one hour coaching session to see how you shoot and check your skills. 75 feet is a long distance to shoot with a handgun. No one is exempt from the shooting qualification, every applicant has to prove that they passed it with an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor such as myself.

PACKAGE #1.......Need to Qualify for a RI Conceal Carry Permit? In order to take this option, you must provide an Army-L target that you have shot during practice proving you can pass it successfully. Target can be texted 401-441-0111 or emailed dariabruno@me.com. Once approved, you can enter this option without it, you can not. If you are READY TO QUALIFY, HAVE SHOT SUCCESSFULLY AT 75' IN THE PAST AND YOU CAN PASS THE RI SHOOTING QUALIFICATION OF 30 ROUNDS IN 30 MINUTES AT AN ARMY-L TARGET (B-22) AT 75' AND SCORE A MINIMUM OF 195 OUT OF 300.....THEN bring your application, your gun and ammo. 30 rounds to qualify, application any questions you may have regarding the process. This is private one on one qualification. I will provide photos and notarize your application. If you CHOOSE this OPTION...PLEASE BE READY TO QUALIFY. If YOU HAVE NOT SHOT AT 75' before at an ARMY-L target, PLEASE...DO NOT CHOOSE THIS OPTION! Click HERE to book this option. Cost: $195.
PACKAGE #2.......TRAINING TO SHOOT THE RI CONCEAL CARRY QUALIFICATION! I will HELP YOU Navigate thru the ENTIRE RI Conceal Carry Permit Process from beginning to completion. YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR GUN AND AMMO....PLEASE DO NOT sign up for this class if you cannot provide your own gun and ammo. This training includes where to apply (state vs. town), the application process: composing your letter as to why you have "proper reason", what your references should say, and 1 hour of TRAINING TO SHOOT prior to shooting the army-l.
I can notarize your application and your copies of your forms of positive identification. I will provide photos. This is a private one on one lesson and qualification. Click HERE to book this option. Cost $405.
Another option is ....
Concealed Carry Consultation....If you have qualified and you just need help writing your letter of need, sample letters for your reference writers, help with your entire application and the concealed carry process. Advice as to where to apply (AG vs. Town). Eye balling your completed package to be sure it is accurate and will receive a successful review. This can be accomplished remotely thru ZOOM or any other video conference APP or software. Click HERE to book this option. Cost $100.00.
Please note***** The qualification is good for 1 year. If for some reason you cannot commit to this process and/or completing the qualification and the paperwork, after one year's time lapse, additional charges will apply.
